“This simulation would be most suitable for financially literate and capable students who could gain an enormous amount from undertaking the simulation (but) it would be difficult for year 9 students with literacy and numeracy limitations. It also presupposes a sound awareness of financial concepts and terminology. To be effective with a group of year 9 students (rather than some individuals) the simulation needs to be simplified, with less numeracy calculations and a lower demand for literacy skills.”
